As a child, I never thought I would grow up to be a mental health counselor. I have a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature with a minor in Women's Literature. I went further in my education and earned a Masters in Business Administration, and now, a Masters in Mental Health and Couples & Family Therapy. No, none of these things seem to have anything in common. And yes, my journey seems to be all over the place. But that is how life is for most of us. Life is a puzzle where we try over and over to get the pieces to fit.
I have worked in the non-profit field for almost 15 years. My most recent position is working to help those who struggle with mental health and/or substance abuse, to secure employment that helps them in creating and sustaining a new life.
My passion is and will always be, to help others to the best of my capacity. Which is why I am here.
